We have a ton of FRS/86/BRZs over here in So Cal, but I still get the occasional look or 'nice car'. I was at a gas station last night and a guy in a Porsche Boxter came up to me and started chatting me up about my car. Next thing I know we're exchanging numbers and talking about meeting up at a car meet

Yep.

Will report back if I manage to pick up a girl with the car. Will probably need to talk about something else than cars though...

This weekend I swapped my stock front pipe back onto my car, so I was out driving listening for anything out of the ordinary (sadly now that it's quieter I can hear that "leaf rustling" sound with my UEL). I still have the afterfire "bbbrap" on upshits, but now I can rev it out without going deaf. I happened to be revving it out and shifted as I drove by a guy walking down the side of the road. When I looked over he was lifting his drink as though he was saying cheers. I thought it was pretty cool, like a song of my people salute. Maybe he was just wiping his mouth with his shirt sleeve though...

Saw a slammed blue BRZ the other day, give a thumbs up out my window, got two in return from driver and passenger. Always nice to see another twin out in the wild!

Oh, and 3 weeks or so ago while filling up at the gas station at night, had a guy approach my cousin and I talking about how amazing he thinks my car is, and he started dogging his own car (a dark gray Dodge Dart), calling it a piece of shit and etc. I was like, "Nah man, that car is pretty solid!" but he kept insisting it was dog crap. lol, guy also looked like he been snorting, looked hyped up on something. Thankfully he was tame, therefore I was tame.

I was at the Toyota dealer on Friday for tire installation. I was afraid that they would refuse to touch my completely out of spec FR-S (supercharged and 245 tires on aftermarket wheels). Just the opposite, they were delighted. Three service advisers commented on the car, asked questions. The technician came from shop to tell me he had finished the work and how cool the car was. Well, this is the best compliment I received yet.

Had a nice gas station chat with an M3 owner today. As soon as I stepped out, we exchanged compliments and he proceeded asking me questions. Supercharged? No, but it will be I reply. How is it in the winter? It's a drift car after all. On some proper winter tires, good as any other I say. I asked him if he's done anything to his and he was like nah it's a V8, so.. That gave me a good chuckle.

Ok guys I know its going to sound really weird but this is a really cool story. I finished my shift at a local Tim Hortons *dw im a part time student in college* and i see these two on-duty officers that are stopping by for coffee. so what I do is clock out and try to get the hell out of work because of my loud ass car lol. anyways, I go start up my car and realize that the two officers parked beside me. right before I was going to take off, the officers walk towards my car and one comes up to my window and asks to roll it down, at this point I was scared I was gonna get booked for my exhaust, but surprisingly, he goes "hey boss how are you? I have a brz and just wanted to say you have a really clean 86, really nice stance and a mean sound." I say my thanks and we then begin talking for about 20 minutes about how amazing this platform is and future mods for both of our cars. Then we say our goodbyes and tells me to pull so he can hear my exhaust setup. I know your probably not on here officer but if you are, you're one cool guy!

Lol wow amazing. Wish they were all like that. Haven't had any encounters with the police yet, but if I do, I hope it goes something like that!

I stopped to take Some Pictures of the car today and while I was waiting for traffic to clear out, this guy comes over asking if it was my BRZ. We ended up having a pretty cool conversation about cars. He has a turbo lancer that he cant afford so he is selling it. Nice guy after I turned down his "you want to race?" line. Several girls in the area didn't even give it a second look. Dude magnet confirmed.
