It just goes to show low hp with more competent driver > than high hp incompetent driver. Trackdays are fun and this is why I bought my FR-S so I can chase down with as little money I've spent on my car, higher horsepower cars with drivers not as capable as I am. I spend my money on seat time and not parts. The cheapest thing to upgrade is the nut behind the wheel after all!

Great video and great driving by pcasso, but there's not much here to celebrate unless you want to just make fun of the Porsche driver and highlight how much better of a driver pcasso is. That car was not just a GT3. It was a GT3 RS 4.0. The most potent GT3 ever made. The only thing that video is highlighting is how good a driver pcasso is and how horrible of a driver the RS4.0 driver is.

I'm a bit annoyed that ft86club is highlighting this video as an example of "Just how well does a track prepped FR-S compare against the high performance 997 GT3 at the Circuit of the Americas track". That is total BS. A track prepped FR-S and a bone stock RS 4.0 are not in the same zip code. Anyone who states or thinks otherwise has no clue. The RS 4.0 driver sucked. Plain and simple. Happens all the time. I can post video of me passing a viper ACR, Mclaren MP4-12C, and GT3RS. In no way did I think for one second that my car was nearly as capable as those cars. It's very typical that fast cars are driven by terrible drivers with big egos who place themselves in too advanced of a run group.

FT86club showboating this video titled "Watch the FR-S Hunt a 997 GT3 at Circuit of the Americas" is only going to encourage idiocy by some of the uninformed fanboys on this forum.

I will say that I'm very proud that the posts so far in this thread realize this, but I would encourage FT86club to re-word their 'highlight':

Thanks. I really think the way ft86club promoted the video is an embarrassment to all of us. I hope they re-word or remove it from the main page.

They are track compound pads. They tend to do that.

What's the saying.. 'Tis better to drive a slow car fast, then a fast car slow..

Was at streets of willow today, and the emberessment of the bunch was a C5 Z06 getting handed it ass by anything and everything out there.. Even down the straights, running 2:05's.. It was the guys first trackday, but he was just plain scared of his car.. Which makes me wonder ... WHY.. It's my belief if you can't handle the car your buying then wait till you can..

What makes it an embarrassment for people to not be skilled drivers?

Aren't these track days called HPDE?

Should a guy who is a virgin not have his first time with a supermodel if he has the opportunity?

I'm going to my first track day in a few weeks and I guarantee I'll be in the same boat of getting passed by 1980 stock civics. If people are going to make fun of me for having fun I feel sorry for them.
