Series 10/Monogram headlight install

Anyone in DFW willing to help me install Series 10 headlights into my '13 base FRS? These have the 6 pins in the 8 pin connector. I'll be getting the headlights soon and I'm not too comfortable with electrical wiring. I've read thoroughly through numerous threads but just don't want to screw up my expensive OEM headlights.

In the end, I'd like them to function like factory - LEDs off when low beam or high beam is on. Only functioning as DRL or when parking lights are on. I'll pay of course!

Thanks!

I did GT86 headlights in my '13 a couple of weeks ago. Pretty simple if you follow the write-up. I've heard the Monogram lights are even easier because there isn't the extra wire. Just take it slow, triple check your work and you'll be fine.

Yeah just finished mine a week or so ago. Not too bad. I even have a pin diagram with colors if anyone else needs it in the future.

Did you get them to work the way you wanted them to?

Yeah. LED off when lowbeams and highbeams are on. Only enabled with car on, and parking brake disengaged. I had to reference some Scion wiring diagrams and create my own diagram that I could understand. One model with the stock 6pin FRS pin layout and one with the Monogram 8pin layout with wire colors. Install was easy after that lol.

What about the resistor box? I'm looking into it but don't know what to do with it.

Resistor box gets unplugged. I unclipped mine from the car too, in case a shop decided to plug it back in.

It's 6 pins from the monogram (6/8 used) to 6 pins on base FRS. There is no new wire, other than extending the wires from each headlight that tap into the green resistor wire.
