Well, @Tcoat if this would happen to come together, I could pick you up at the airport and you could ride with me for the event. You may even use my car to auto-X ...... if you think you handle the aero of my shark fin antennae ......

It wouldn't be a Fiat without mysterious engine problems that leave you stranded. It isn't terrible reliability; it's heritage.

Actually, the below is me (back when I had hair). I also worked on a construction crew that built the Grizzly rollercoaster at Kings Dominion.

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pk5n0ZAkgCU"]Kings Dominion: Grizzly / On Ride Front Row POV / August 17, 2014 - YouTube[/ame]

An interesting fact. If you watch the video recorded in 2014 at about 3:53 as they are going into the brake shed you'll notice a silver circle midway the beam. That is a flattened aluminum disposable ashtray with a star in the middle that I hung in that spot in 1982. I was amazed when I took my family there in 2002 and rode the "coaster that Dad built" to see it still there. Even more amazing its still there in 2014.

Other members of the crew put the same "easter egg" around the coaster on our last construction day. They came from the employee cafeteria back in the day when people still smoked in cafeterias.

I have this vision of the maintenance crew thinking this is some type of design element and have for years reproduced it faithfully everytime it falls off.

I can help spread word around the area and get a WA state caravan going, then we merge or simply meet up with the OR state peeps, finally cruising on down all together.
I have an idea for an auto-X event .....

The course layout would be standard.

Participants would have to be at least 45 years old.

To maintain consistency, only one car would be used ..... to maintain a uniform platform, only an AT car would be used (and only in auto mode).

We would need a track seasoned car ...... but not too prepped ..... just tires.

It must be a bright color - to warn observers it's coming

Let's see, who has a AT, that is a bright color with some track tires ...... ????
