The Bride rail for our cars more or less look like this:

Yup. I just put my Bride rails together yesterday, debating if I want to run it with only a 3-point for normal use or with full bar/harness.

Is there any aftermarket seat or other stock (like from a Focus ST or RX8 r3 or something) that is fully functional like the stock seat (tilts forward, can be lowered/raised, side bolster adjustment, side airbag still functional etc) ?

Still holding up fine after about 9 months and 20k miles.

Been worth every penny for the headroom.

Anyone have issues with the bc rails, mine feel like they are bent and have play. I have to sit pretty far back meaning the rail is unsupported some. Also I'm 6'1 220 so I think my weight has a part in it. Just want to know if I'm the only one

I did like the other guy with the RX8 seats but with Evo X seats. All fully functional but no airbags. Not smart enough or brave enough to figure out how to rewire them.

don't rewire, just swap,

in my case with the rx8 seat it went amazingly easy. Was a bit harder when i did the same thing putting gr sti seats into my forester. May have to carve out a bit of foam or fill in some foam, but the general idea of side bags is all roughly the same thing.

I have Bride Brix ii seats from years ago I intended to put in my AE86 but lately been thinking about putting into my BRZ. I do know that they aren't "side mounted." Any suggestions on rails and brackets to get these in?

What resistor did you use to eliminate the light?

I used the resistor found in the following link. Bought a ten pack on accident, but they work as advertised. I've never had an issue with my airbag light since using the resistor.

I am assuming if your doing this DIY you have already figured out how to remove the seats and disconnected the the battery and the wires connected to the seat.

First thing you need is a Resister with a resistance of 3.3 Ohms.
Amazon.com: 3.3 Ohm 1W Flameproof Resistor 10 Pcs.: Electronics

Locate the yellow harness .

You will notice that there are only 2 wires connected to the harness but are 4 holes (sorry the picture doesn't really show it, i'll try to get a better one before Install the seat tomorrow morning), you want to plug the resistor into the bottom two holes.

No it does not matter which side of the resistor you plug into which hole. Also I am just going to use electrical tape to secure it for now, later I will find the other end of the connector and solder the resistor to that, and insulate it with shrink wrap.
