Prodigywerks Brakes-New Player With A BBK

Well well well, here we go! A few weeks back (okay, maybe a month or so) my good friend @Manic directed me to a facebook post where a new company was looking for people to try out their new big brake kit. The typical bunch of "gimmie gimmie gimmie" were in there, as to be expected. I tossed my name in the hat, since I've been wanting to upgrade the Stoptechs I have currently. Oh, and because I have trouble keeping anything on the car too long before getting bored and swapping for no reason at all.

I was selected as one?(I think there is at least one more FRS/BRZ/86 owner who was chosen) to test, review, and rate the brakes.

I currently have Stoptech ST40 calipers on the car, and I have had no complaints with them.

For testing, I will be using a Performance VBox, so I'll have great no nonsense explanations or "butt dyno yeah bro is stops so hard now" bs...I'll have verifiable data to go off, to prove if the new Prodigywerks Big Brake kit has what it takes.

Here are specs from Prodigywerks:

6-Pistons ProdigyWerks Calipers (1 Left and 1 Right)
13" (330mm x 32mm) or 14" (356mm x 32mm) 2-piece design Tru™ Floating Brake Discs - Slotted (1 Left and 1 Right)
ProdigyWerks High Performance Brake Pads (1 set)
Teflon Steel Braided Brake Lines x 2pcs.
Carbon Steel Adapter Mounts (1 Left and 1 Right)
Screws, bolts and necessary hardware. (1 set)

Right now, I've made two videos, an unboxing and a first look. Of course I'll shoot some stuff for install, and a bunch for testing.

Feel free to chime in or ask questions! Lets try and keep this reasonable too, and stick with data...

The brakes appear to have all the paperwork and such proving that they have passed quality tests and what not. Any and all documents and data I can get will be posted here. I'll get photos up tomorrow that I shot during the video.

Why would someone buy these over the kits that are already out there? What is the sales pitch?
The fact that the FaceBook blurb mentions warping discs lends no credibility to the brand.

was in the running for the brakes too, but I couldn't measure my wheels since I didn't have the car on hand.

Interesting to see how this plays out. It's a strange market, there are the known trusted manufacturers but then there are the unknown startups that could potentially be good alternatives. They have to be cheaper to compete to get some market share, but until people actually take a gamble, which it kind of is, then they won't get the reviews.

I haven't been to the track much with this car, unfortunately (other than a few autox events and time trials). I'll make sure when I do that the Vbox is used so we can see how much I'm actually pushing the car. My SRT-4 was tracked though, but it's been a while.

Plus, I'm not opposed to having someone who knows how to drive take it for a few laps at the track..(this doesn't apply to most of this forum lol)
