Not bad, not bad at all... but for my preference, I like just lil bit more deeper sound

I HIGHLY suspect the engine placement is a good reason why we haven't seen any news about a turbo motor yet.

Viper V10 swap?
lol. ...Just for kicks... I'd like to see a one off with the LFA V10 in it. Not that would be the cats tits.

The Viper engine is 34" long vs ~18" for the FA, you'd have the throttle body sticking out of the hood.

An LS1 is a possibility (~27"). But for the Toyota faithful what may be more important is that the width should leave plenty of room for a DOHC V8, such as one of the UZ or UR engines. It should also allow stuff like the VQ37.
Mmmmmm dry sumped, ITB UZ V8.... #drools

You'd of be giving up a lot of the "plug and play" aspect of a Subaru swap, but sure, why not? Although, if you're going the $$$ route anyway, you might as well step up to the GT3 RS 4.0 motor. Go big or go home.

well, the intake manifold is reversed from the standard EJ motor- that means it would be more friendly to a front side turbo setup. Less piping overall, especially since you'd do a front mount intercooler right there, as well- sort of like what you see on custom civic turbo setups. everything right in the front. There's room for it, and there isn't room behind the engine for the turbo setup, as you all have noted.

I could see a "kit" come out and be reasonably priced, mostly because of the small amounts of piping needed from the exhaust mani to the turbo, and the intercooler piping to the turbo to the intake- it's all within about 18 inches of eachother.

Of course, there's still the compression ratio issues... but overall, I definitely think there's room for a turbo setup, and it might actually be easier than a full custom fab job, because of that reversed intake manifold. A lot of front mount STIs these days are reversing the intake manifold in order to shorten up the intercooler piping, and that is already done for us here.
