I'm not so much a fan of King anymore, I had a windshield replaced again and went through King and this time was a bit messier, because of that aluminum plate for the rear view mirror, caused me sooo much hassle because King said it's not their problem. I convinced them otherwise later.

I'm going to get my windshield installed again after about 9 months due to pitting and a couple of small cracks but now I'm trying a shop recommended by my most favorite window tint shop (Cactus Tint).

I'll be using BlueChip Auto Glass, on Yelp they have 103 reviews in Arizona and only 2 of those reviews were below 5 stars (one was 1 star, the other 4 star), so I have high expectations.

P.S. The insurance companies recommend shops because they have arrangements with those companies to provide their insured cars in exchange for charging the insurance company less per car. The insurance company only recommends particular shops like Gerber, Safelite, etc. because the insurance company doesn't have to pay as much - more profit. F**k the recommended shops no matter what they promise over competitors.

Thanks for the update. I had thought about calling up Cactus Tint for their recommendation.

Scheduled an appointment with Blue Chip for Tuesday. Called them up and gave them some basic info. Then they did some parts investigation and conferenced me in with my insurance company.

I'm getting Pilkington glass, which they have in stock. I asked about my auto-dimming/compass mirror and they mentioned there is only ONE part for my BRZ. *crossing fingers*

the mirror bracket attached to the windshield is the same regardless of whatever model you have.
