They could put a KIA badge on the FR-S and if it's all the car we hope it is I'd buy two of them.

Actually I don't think most people know Scion has anything to do with Toyota. Scion isn't a prominent brand, so when people see Scion they're like huh...

I think people either don't know what the hell Scion is or they know it is a Toyota. I mean anytime you want to buy one brand new you have to go to a Toyota dealership and those that buy a Toyota see the Scion section. For those who don't know what Scion is pulling up in an Fr-S will have them wondering what car it is lol

The difference between Lexus and Toyota is every other luxury car on the road is a Lexus, while Scions are actually a rather rare sight (their sales numbers suck, makes sense :P). Everyone knows Lexus is Toyota, but I think the average person still scratches their head when they see a Scion. Toyota owners under warranty and people who visit Toyota dealerships would see Scion, but otherwise how would they know? It's a relatively new brand with relatively few cars.

I hope this commercial doesn't look like the Scion's Lightning Yellow commercial. Or.. the Kia's new Hamster commercial with robot aliens.

Lol

Will be so much more happy if it was taking a corner. Like a 'baus'. And with the 86 next to it. Doing tantum up/down a mountain road.

I see a lot of 1st gen XBs, but otherwise I'd agree on Scion's being a relatively rare sight. Never really thought about it until now...

However the real target buyer for these cars will know that Scion is the youth/cheap brand of Toyota. Toyota showing a history of their good cars in an ad for this car seems like a good idea to me. So many people have written off Toyota products (if they are interested in performance/fun cars instead of appliances) that it could remind some older owners of said fun cars about Toyota and introduce them to a potentially new fun car for those ex-owners..
