Plugged the dumb engine sound resonator hole in the passenger footwell. I am surprised how much it reduces engine noise in the car.

Now my wife does not cringe and give me the evil eye when I accelerate hard on the freeway ramp.

This has to be the most pointless manufactures addition to a car since the discovery of the wheel.

I plugged mine at the dealer before even taking delivery of the car. The sales staff all thought I had lost my mind when the very first thing I did was lay down on the passenger side and start pulling up carpet.

What’s the best way to do this? It’s way noisy, my dog jumps in my lap everytime I’m having fun.

Pull the plug out of the socket in the glove box and shove it in the tube opening in the left side of the passenger footwell. It is just at the edge of the carpet.

I did exactly what TCOAT said. Used the 12 volt socket cover in the glove compartment. I actually got the idea from an original post by TCOAT. Took a whole 30 seconds, now both my self respect and my wife are happy. I'm sure your dog will appreciate it even more.

The hole is slightly off center at the top edge of the carpet just below an obvious bolt head. If you pull the carpet back a little you will see it. If you don't see it you are looking in the wrong footwell or the wrong car.

Straight ahead where the toes are? Cause I plugged a hole, not sure if it's the right one

And I got it from somebody else's post. In fact it was how to get rid of that damn kazoo that lead me to this forum in the first place. Not sure I would have stumbled across the damn place if I hadn't been looking for a solution.

It would be the hole that when you put something in it the noise stops. If still noisy then wrong hole.

I can't believe there is a video of this!
Is there a video on how to wipe dust off the dash?
