I think it doesn't help that they chose such an unremarkable spec for this video. Plain white with an ugly black interior. Where's the nice exterior paints? Where's that iconic blue? Throw in some stripes. Pep up the interior a bit.

Having said that, I do like it more after this video. It's got some supercar imperfections like 80s and 90s Lambos and I like that.

You're right. Instead it has an intricate and complicated hydraulic system that is unmatched for it's comfort and track performance.

F1 hasn't had electronically controlled suspension for >25 years and they've never designed to cope with 3,000+ lbs.

Pushrod suspension has been around for decades, I can go pick up a little racecar with pushrod suspension and go racing for <$20k. College students can hack up some 'F1 style' suspension on a budget of a few grand. 'Similar to' doesn't mean shit as far as I'm concerned, how it performs is what matters.

Good thing reports are saying it performs outstandingly well.

In the end most crashes with that sort of car negate all the safety precautions anyway though.

And there is no side impact into a pole test, at least there wasn't when I was involved, so you'd lose regardless.

Much wider than a pole, so the energy is spread out.

For yuks I plotted the GT's acceleration vs. my RX-7s run at the Texas Mile. Shift time is killing me... But that was with 6.0 LS2, FD now has 6.8 LS3
