Yeah a buddy of mine drove around like that in his RX8 for a bit. We always joked around about having a fish tank in the back of his car cuz there was actually water that collected in his taillights. lol |

Ok guys, problem solved at the assembly line, according to CE. And here's what to do if you have mild condensation.
There seems to have been some tail-lamp assembly not fully seated in the body bezel and screwed into place, causing tiny crack in the housing back side on rare cases. To inspect, just loosen the tail-lamp housing nuts, and see if there are any cracks. If not just screw it back in, and your car should be perfectly fine. In the meantime, it will not affect the performance of the tail lamps in any way, and if the problem develops in rare cases afterwards, it is under warranty. This should not be a common issue they say, and is covered under normal warranty. Again, you MUST love Toyota for getting right up and quick to fix any issues.

That's great, @Moto-P. Thanks for relaying the information.
It is really incredible to think of all the tolerances and fitments that go in to making this type of vehicle. Even more incredible is how this feedback made it to the production line and now back to consumers with a solution. Future owners may never know this happened but it speaks to the commitment Team 86 has for keeping us informed and capable of caring for our vehicles. Good stuff. |

Tada-san is having fun and hard at work doing PR and as product spokesman in Abu Dahbi, UAE here with GT86's, with journalists and officials at the Marina Circuit, a Formula One class FIA venue.
Yes, he stopped what he was doing here to take care of this issue with wet tail lamp thing. Chief Tada hasn't gone home for more than a few days a month between his global travel and PR work lately. So everyone please say "thanks" to all the Team86 being on top of it all, everywhere in the world, constantly. Untitled Hard at Work, TEAM 86 in Abu Dahbi, UAE - - - by Moto@Club4AG, on Flickr

Tada san's schedule is busier than a F1 driver.
Between Nurburgring and Abu Dahbi he was in Hing Kong and he is coming to Australia this week. He must have millions of frequent flyer points lol |
