I imagine Subaru doesn't want to build it because the extra weight of the bracing in a convertible version of this car would result even more whining than the lack of power in the current version does.

Question:
Suppose Toyota made the FR-S/86 themselves in the USA, would you be more or less inclined to buy one that's American assembled (no cars are fully made in one country)? Personally, I like having Japanese cars from Japan (FR-S & tC) but there's nothing that really made them more special than my Civic Si from Canada (not the US but still North America). What difference does it make if they're mostly assembled & painted by robots anyway on this continent or another? It's not like me liking the new 2015 Mustang a lot but afraid it order one because it may suffer quality & reliability issues since it's still just a Ford. |
