If you look here total weight of rims+tire+air is 41.4
Tire alone has to be lighter then 20lbs ^•^
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....tnum=145WR7PHP

Says 20 lbs. I read somewhere else 20.1. Michelin's site used to have easily accessed specification docs and their said 21, but I can'd find that anymore on their updated website. It suffices to say, I'm rounding up because the calculators I've seen online for shipping don't care about ounces when they're dealing with 40 lb packages. Yes, it's probably 40 or 41 lbs and a few ounces, but really, it's better to round up then round down.

Just for grins, I went ahead just now on UPS' website and calculated shipping for 40 lbs instead of 42 lbs, same outer dimensions, just as I did earlier to a residential address for the person who asked to 30144, and it came up with...the exact same price as before. $108, which I rounded up to $110 in my post.

@fika84 sent me a link to Shipnex.com which I had never heard of, but they come up with a price to a residential address to that 30144 zip code of $60 for the set of 4 tires as opposed the $110 quoted above.

So that's an option too perhaps. I don't know where there's a location near me though and apparently they restrict that until you actually create an account. Grr.

I had never used ShipNex before either. I just shipped some tires using them though and it actually went through UPS... I'm not sure how they get better rates or what not, but they did and it worked just fine!

bump...People say they want them, I respond, then nothing. Come on folks. Somebody take these friggin' things off my hands. I'm going to end up tossing them and that'd be a shame.
