Where do people get the DI seals to replace? I'm inclined to try this myself. I haven't been able to find a part number for them.

Installing seal onto the SST holder tip

First off, HUGE thanks @Dezoris for this video, not sure I would have tried it without seeing it. I replaced my seals about 2 weeks ago and my car has been running great since, no more firecrackers!! My #3(passenger side/rear) injector seal was gone and the other 3 were "burnt"/damaged... After fighting the seals onto the holder portion of the tool I came up with the following procedure to install them.

[ame]http://youtu.be/FLrM3X4WLCc[/ame]

I used this procedure for the last 2 seals and it actually made the process of moving the ring over the seal to reset it much easier as well because it resulted in no deformation of the seal.
Pic of the seal after using this procedure: Results.jpg
All 4: As they came out.jpg

#1: #1.jpg

Hope this makes the job a little less frustrating for everyone!!

Great idea! Did you replace that injector looks very scorched.

Nope, cleaned it up and put it back in. Seems fine so far, no noticeable power loss even under "extreme" conditions.

Does anyone have the all the part numbers for the DI seal replacement job? @Dezoris @whataboutbob

Want to make sure I don't leave any of these out:
Quote:
Port Injector O-Rings
Direct Injector fuel lines (QTY2)
DI Backup Ring, Insulator, Primary Seal and O-rings
Got ahold of the service manual, reading the section regarding DI seals and writing down parts..

If you are going to go in there and replace, why not consider some aftermarket ones from autofactory.

Those are expensive ($50 per set, you want 3-4 sets per install as they are scratched easily), ordering would be a hassle, shipping would take too long, and I'm not sure they're proven.

If they are proven to last longer than OEM, I'd be in for a group buy... as I might need to do this again after 30 more track days
