I use these terminals: [ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002ZR4UC/"]Amazon.com: Brass SAE Automotive Battery Terminal Set for Hawker Odyssey Batteries: Automotive[/ame]

And I had a super custom race car bracket system designed for mine. Very pricey and very exotic. It might be out of your price range.

Beyond the very high cost in order to achieve the light weight, you also need to factor in labor for the precision processing of your bracket material.

Exactly. I'm not even sure what it is, but I think it's probably 100% unobtanium. Most people won't be able to get this, but I'm in rap videos on TV, so I can pretty much do whatever I want.

Yeah, high touch labor factor there for sure. I just used the stock bracket for mine with some of the padding the Shorai came with. I did switch though to thumbscrews so it's toolless.

These are the terminals I used: [ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004XH69MY"]XS Power 586 Tall Brass Post Adaptor (M6 Thread):Amazon:Automotive[/ame]

Hmm, works just fine on my phone.

Yeah I've had the 36 installed since early June. Working great even as low as 21F (coldest we've had so far) and she lives outside as I'm in an apartment without garages.

I also run a 14 in my '11 CBR1000RR, for two years now. Now that's a tiny battery, under 1.5 lbs.

Mine cranked in 15F one time! I have a video of it cranking in 25F:

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8JwHdOQNLI"]3lb Shorai LFX21LS-BS12 Battery Cranking FR-S in 25 F and Observing Cold Idling with OFT 1.42b Tune - YouTube[/ame]

It's never not cranked, actually. I've let it sit for like 3 weeks and it still fired right up. I bought the charger when I got the battery, but it's over a year old now and still new in the box.

Yeah, your original vid is one of the reasons I ended up getting the one for my car.

Here's my bike battery on a scale in lbs...

I also bought the charger at the same time as the car battery. I figured with two of them around it might be worth having. I keep it in my trunk where the spare used to be with my inflator kit.

Very nice job with the weight reduction! Thinking about shedding a few lbs myself, as I'm sure it'll make the car feel a lot more nimble

Hey @Anthony Question....so I tried pulling the cover off the driver's side of the engine today - how did you finagle that thing out of there, did you pop the fuel lines off? I also dropped the rear bolt down somewhere around the stock header...d'oh. I'm sure it'll wiggle free eventually.

I had no trouble at all. Just unscrewed it and took it out. I mean... it's been a while, so maybe it didn't come right out, but there was definitely nothing drastic enough for me to remember. I didn't have to unhook anything extra to make it possible.

@Anthony You've probably said as much before, but I'm too lazy to go back and look. Just how good does the car feel to drive with all that lightness?

you should remove the front and rear emblems. that has to be a couple of ounces of saved weight right there.
