Easiest solution if you want to swap something is a inlet hose like what Perrin sells.
Removes the stock sound tube in the process which is a bonus if you want that thing gone. |

When you consider that for the 17+ MT cars they reduced the restriction by 30% and the sum total of all the changes made gave a 5hp increase it shows that there are no real gains to be had with just an new CAI.

2022 Gen II cars?
Anyone know of mods and testing on the new Gen 2 cars?
If nothing else I'd like to clean up that area and get rid of all that plastic clutter. Right now I just run a K&N filter. I am sticking to bolt-on mods for now. Will likely get a tune. I have some old Nameless/Cosworth long tube headers I want to try that come up between the engine and fans. I'm new to BRZ's... I've heard that some CAI solutions are actually bad. What's worth doing? I'm not doing anything that hasn't been tested on a dyno and shown to be an improvement. |

There are some companies that are doing R&D on certain parts. As far as tunes go, there is little info since ECUTEK hasn't been able to crack the ECU as far as I know. CAIs on the new gen, in my opinion, would be kind of unnecessary since the design of the box is already a CAI, so stick to a better filter. Take a look at the second gen thread and see what people are doing so far. By the way another fellow CT member! Where in CT?! https://www.ft86club.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=98

Stock box with a high flow filter will be the best. |

Best CAI is absolutely the Gruppe M/Garage Revolution, but way overpriced.
The second one is the Kansai Service, the third one is the Symms. The stock intake is quite good, it's just limited in intake hole of the airbox. I had very good results on mine with Greddy pipe and panel filter, HKS duct and in particular with Apex'i Intake D Plus. Last edited by gpvecchi; 02-03-2022 at 03:58 PM. |

dont do it
cold air intakes are a waste of money if you are willing to waste 400 dollars for 2 hp i suggest take it to the casino bet on red win and go and buy a e85 kit or take it to the local strip club im sure you will see a bigger improvement there

If OP want the bling effect, i recommend drop in pannel filter with perrin inlet hose. Save a couple bucks to buy an OFT and e-tune it with steve99 |
