Merrick Watts reviews the Car of the Year

Something light and fun read for a Wednesday!

You guys know who Merrick Watts is, right? the comedic radio guy, and was on TV with "Rosso". Just fyi, in case some peeps don't know who he is. he likes to "muck around" with what ever topic is on the table. So don't take his review so seriously, just for fun.

Is this an old review?
new 86s do not have a lump in the boot from a spare - so X that off your list merrick.
the gearbox is not what you are used to, but it does have a little map on top of the gear stick like 99% of other cars. you should have paid attention.

golf clubs to fit in the car. just fold the seats down and you can have 2 golf bags and a passenger in the front.

Someone didn't read the instructions.

(He did say he borrowed the car - obviously from someone who bought an early one with the spare wheel.)

I am all of these things.

Thankfully the rear seats fold down, and mine won't have the doughnut.

I took my doughnut out and replaced it with foam in a can and a puncture repair kit.

Wish the back seats were split fold. Really annoys me as I have a baby seat in the back.

I have got my golf clubs in, had to drop the rear seat to angle them in, but it went in.
First time i have used them in 4 years, doubt ill need to get them in this car again haha.

I do put my mountain bike in regularly though, both wheels off and back seat down it slides in.
I have been trying to find roof racks though, know Thule have no plans to make any, waiting on a few other makers.
