HUMFRZ - mentioned bolting stock seats direct to the floor with a custom mount- is that something anyone has tried ?
If you find the right one-piece seat for your shape it's just fine for DD. In fact, my favorite DD seat of all time was my Cobra Imola Pro. It was soooo nice, whether it was for trips to the store, on the track, or 2,000 mile road trips. I loved that thing. The only downsides were the cost and ingress/egress. But after a few days I got used to it and never thought of it again.

I have Recaro RS-G on Bride FG rails and my 6'3 friend says it's borderline too low for him.

With stock seat I have to adjust the reclining portion back a little bit with helmet.

I prefer to run with a bucket seat and drove with a bucket seat for about 20k miles daily driving. Bucket seat are not great road trip cars but for 1 hour commute was fine. Don't get buddy Club with recaro because it didn't sit in my friends brz center.

I guess Bride Stradia II Low-Max Reclineable sports seats may be an option here - they are a little pricey though. Anyone here have any experience with them ?

From googled up description & pics those are more about having optional lower cushions below knees, not about lower overall seating, no?

well not really - there is a low cushion feature, but more relevant is that it is an aftermarket seat that reclines (so more practical as a DD) & side mounted, designed with a low profile rail. My only question is how does it compare size wise with the stock seat.

I'm not sure on what model they are as I got them used, but my Recaros have pretty slim rails, and my girlfriend can't even see over the dashboard anymore. They set what I'd call extremely low. At least 3 to 4" lower.

I am 6'6" i run a Sparco Ergo Large and Vac seat mounts. I believe this is as low as you can possibly get, i sit comfortably with a helmet on in the car.

Guy's: appreciate all your suggestions - keep em coming ! note, I'm looking more for a comfortable street solution that gets me sitting lower, than a Track weapon which is why I am looking for reclinable options such as the Bride Stradia 2. ..unfortunately as others have remarked, they are not what you would call cheap..

@Moto-Phil - I took a look at the Sparco Ergo Large & they look like a serious piece of hardware, but again I'm wondering about the DD comfort factor ..

For me and what i do they are one of the most comfortable seats I've been in. You of course cant recline which hurts the daily driving aspect.

wondering if any new information or progress has developed for the seat height problem. I am 6'8, probably one of the tallest frs owners out there and yes my head does rub. i have a tall, tall back, and it impossible for me to sit up straight in the frs. however i never really sit up straight anyways while driving but i would like to be able to sit a little straighter than i am right now. An extra inch would be amazing. 2-3 inches would be a miracle. want to keep stock seat but will switch if i need to
