Anyone get a metallic rattle from the engine bay between 3500-4500 rpm on acceleration and under load?

I had it too. Buy a 7/8 inch plug from Home Depot and plug the sound tube hole in the passenger foot well see if it quiets or eliminates the noise. If it does then it was the sound tube resonator rattling against the engine cover. The mount for the stupid cylindrical resonator is so flimsy it wiggles really easily when you touch it.

Does that apply if the resonator tubing isn't even in the car anymore?

I'll be in to Big2 at Noon tomorrow, made an appt for 20k service, and added that mystery noise (Previously looked at but they blamed the airaid intake, so I put the stock one back in, and the same noise is still there...only getting louder lately), as well as complaining about crickets on principle.

No then it's something else, definitely bring it up.

I'd say start grabbing shit and see if it moves or rattles. I would think it would be something connected to your motor. Also check your skid plate to see if its loose. Maybe even take a mirror and see if anything is dangling in your engine bay.

Just got back from more tuning with @Ninjin I think we finally got most of our stuff cleaned up, cleaned up 4,000-5,600RPM torque a bit, found our "phantom knock" source, toyed with the tune a bit, worked on tip in, and found some "fun" turbulence killing either 2,400-2,800RPM or 3300-4,000 RPM tq... going to experiment with main pipe & snorkel adjust and see if we can tweak it out and pickup a few more wtq @ 3,300-4,000 RPM and get his car back on the dyno . Randwell is up tomorrow!

As it turns out, tuning cars properly is pretty hard! There have been a few frustrating trouble spots, but the improvement is really noticeable, even to someone with a pretty insensitive butt-dyno (real dyno numbers are looking good too).
@nelsmar, unlike other tuners, has actually been tuning for real-world drivability. So instead of all the improvements being purely 7,000 RPM bragging numbers, it's something I can really feel at 3,500 RPM when I put my foot down. Good stuff!

Thanks! I think we have put about 10x as much time into the 2,600-4,400RPM area as we have all other parts of your map combined... lol. I cant wait to get that E85 MBT tuning done, i am sure you are right around there now at 3-4k, as it pulls harder than my supercharged car upwards of 5k... lol

Getting a quality base map seriously takes a long ass time! I am glad that @Ninjin has been okay with me flashing his car endlessly. I just did the math and we have spent roughly 9-10 hours alone just simply "flashing" the ecu with updated revisions. EEP! But at least we are starting to get pretty far on a nice quality UEL basemap that supports 91, E85, and flex fuel =x.

The best part of this entire experience was when my own friend (who is a tuner as his day to day job) was telling us to not bother with the lower end TQ as we would never realistically use it... And then after that we put another 3hrs or so on the dyno after that... LOL!
