(trick answer: J.V. wouldn't look at the logs)

You'll be fine, I've been on 1.6b and 2.0b for a few weeks now.

Updated to stage 1 93 octane tonight with a fresh tank of Petra 94, I'll get enough km's on it tomorrow morning to give it a good test at an autox.

So I flashed the A01D stage 1 93 octane map and immediately got CEL code P0700. I cleared it and after 20 miles or so it still hasn't come back. Anything to worry about?

Also wanted to say thanks Shiv! Such a huge difference between stock and with a flash. Even the lowly auto feels quick (though I know it's not).

I think that code is normal after flashing a 6at car. It's a transmission control unit error caused by a communication loss during the ecu flashing process. You can clear it like you did or just let it reset itself after a few drive cycles. No harm either way.

Update: Just tested the v2.01 Stage 2 EL E85 A01C in the shop car (already running E85) and no problem whatsoever. Ran great right out of the gate. And all the other CAL IDs versions for this tune are identical so I don't think there is anything wrong.

I'm not sure if this applies to you, but you are likely to run into some rough running upon start-up if you just switched over to E85 (from gasoline) and flashed the E85 map. This is because there is still some gasoline in the fuel lines (between fuel tank and fuel injectors) that need to be burned off. This only takes a couple minutes of driving (or at lot longer if the engine is just idling). During that time you will be running rich and a little rough with very negative fuel trims. It will magically clear itself within a minutes. During that time, just drive normally and refrain from going WOT as you will be disappointed in the performance. But once the gasoline burns off, you will be back in business and running very nicely. Again, I'm not sure if this explains your situation but just a thought.

Cheers
Shiv

Instead of making releasing another 132 maps for BPB use, I'm post a thread this week on how to convert any map into a BPB version of that map. Long story short, it just involves making some changes to a couple ignition timing related maps. Very simple and anyone can do it through ROM Raider. It's just gotten to the point were we have so many maps for so many different set-ups that doubling the amount of maps isn't quite prudent (for my sanity!)

Cheers,
shiv

With all your Porsche, FI, Miata projects, you'll have to find a way to automate that shit, otherwise, you'll have to hire an intern doing just that
