Therefore, the FR-S/BR-Z is in CSP.
The BRZ isn't a sports car. Sports cars do not have back seats.

Someone entered the Milwaukee Match Tour with one in DSP, but I think it's just an STX car with too many drivers. I don't think you can enter most national events or nationals without it being officially classified though. I think a full-tilt SP build would be kind of cool but I don't see anyone doing it.

The RX-8 was recently moved to DSP and I think could be the car to have but the current top DSP BMWs are running faster than Street Modified...

Then by your definition, a Porsche 911 isn't a sports car as it also has a back seat.

Also listed in CSP, is

Sedans over 1.7L & under 3.0L not
otherwise classified.

Its Ruben's STX car.. just getting the mileage out of it with multiple drivers..Me and a friend wondered what class it would actually go to in SP.. Could be CSP.. DSP...donno..
Wonder what kind of power it could make under SP Rules.. Intake, Fuel pump, Inj. Clutch, FW.. and a real 8500 Redline.. We know the handling is there..Maybe in a few years someone will build the piss out of one..

I believe you can put the factory Subaru wing on. since its offered not as a spt option but in normal accessories catalog. @whataboutbob here is the official rules

section 14.2
F. Addition of spoilers, splitters, rear wings, bumper covers, valances,
side skirts, and non-functional sccops/vents is allowed provided that
either:
1. It is a production part which is standard or optional equipment of a
US model of the vehicle.
“Model” is defined in Section 12.3.
2. It is listed in the vehicle manufacturer’s US accessory catalog
for that vehicle for normal highway use. This does not allow for
parts sold through a manufacturer’s performance catalog (e.g.,
Ford Racing, HPD, MazdaSpeed, Mopar Performance, Mugen,
NISMO, SPT, TRD, etc).
Parts must be installed as directed by the manufacturer. Exact replicas (including weight) from alternate sources are also permitted

I'm pretty sure you are right, provided the one that is installed meets that criteria. No aftermarket stuff though.

Damn, hate that one. I guess the trunk stays naked!

I'd assume the twins would be CSP, but can the twins be competitive in an *SP class?

I think so... put some 275 rcomps on.. and it would transform the car even further.. power wise.. not sure.. it would have to come down to driving and handling most likely. guesitmate here.. but I see the twins in the 225WHP in SP trim... or so.. biggest thing is you can run race gas in SP.. which opens up a whole nother tuning aspect..

I can see that. STX-like power mods with bigger injectors and fuel pump (if needed), E85/equivalent gas, nice meaty r-comps....

Maybe someone will try this out in the near future.
