Out of all of those, I wouldn't recommend any for pure street use. They're stiff, loud, and wear too fast unless you're autoxing or tracking the car.
One would think street driving would put less stress onto tires that would mainly be used to track and autox. Logic wasn't sound :C. Why do you think this is?

Most of my customers here at the shop like -

Hankook Ventus V12 EVO's

Achilles ATR Sport

Federal SS-595

Sumitomo HTR-Z

For all around performance / daily tires.

I've only had personal experience with the achilles and federals, but I loved them both.

I have General G Max. Not sure how they compare to the others suggested here but they have much more grip compared to oem and great grip in heavy rain. They're all seasons, so they kept me going for that 1 day it snowed here in Portland lol

EHP tires will last longer on the track than typical commuter tires.

EHP tires will last shorter on the street than typical commuter tires.

There exists a threshold in the proportion of street and track driving where EHP tires will outlast commuter tires.

You might want to read this thread if you like sticky tires but still looking for a dd tire. It also addresses MPSS and takes the price of tires into consideration as well.

I read somewhere that running two different types of tires are bad, due to the material it's made of and the tread of each tire... Do I needa renew all 4 of my tires or is it okay to just change my rear? Or should I just stick with the tires I already have?

I got my MPSS for 118 each at discount tire after talking them down a bit. I live in Houston, so I've always ran a summer tire. We've been getting a lot of heavy downpours lately and they're really great in the wet too. They are overkill as far as daily street driving goes, but I like a sticky tire.

The other alternatives I looked at we're Hankook Ventus v12 evo2, but sadly in my area they're either way more expensive or not available.

I also ran some Continental ExtremeContact. Which I liked because it was close to stock as far as road noise, and good traction in both wet and dry. Only thing is since the sidewalls are softer for the better road noise. When you take hard corners it doesn't feel as sharp as the MPSS. Also MPSS have lasted further so far then the Continentals, so might be worth the extra bucks to pay more for them.

I am debating between these and MPSS for my new wheels when they come in. I already have the MPSS on my other car so I know I like them but these seem like a really good cheaper alternative.

Have you had any crazy type of road noise with these? I had two sets of Gforce KDW 2's back in the day and they were loud as hell!
