Awesome! That's really good to hear. I was kinda worried about the drivability. Right now it's my daily but I drive my wife's car to work whenever I can. Thanks for the input

How did you decide on the clutch? Did you go through the following thread?

I also found:

And what are your goals/ do you track the car?

Thanks for that I will be reading up on it. I wanted a clutch that I could daily drive the car with and it be a comfortable ride, but also wanted the extra torque/hp capacity for future power mods if I decide to go with wmi or e85. I don't track my car, just some occasional country road fun. I'd like to take a driving/racing course so I can track my car in the future though. I don't have a track near by though, closest one is about 1 1/2 hrs away I think.

I'm not sure if the thread you sent me is for the same clutch. The clutch I ordered is the new 8 puck style cerametallic clutch. I'll still read through the whole thread though. Any and all info will help me out.

I'll let the others chime in on what clutch they're running. But I guess as long as the shop hasn't had problems with installing them, you'd be fine.

It's the same clutch. For some reason, the initial marketing material shows a 3-puck, but it's supposed to be an 8-puck.

I have this clutch, and drivability is good. Pedal feel is heavier, but not too heavy. It is a little grabby when trying to slip it at very low speeds, like maneuvering up a driveway into the garage, but otherwise very easy to drive on the street. HOWEVER, I do have the lockout issue as noted in the thread above. At this point, it seems like a finger-pointing game where consumers are pointing at Exedy, and Exedy is pointing at the installers.

I'll be swapping in a different clutch the next time the transmission comes off (whenever that may be).

Just for the record, I'm running the ACT 6 puck.

Yeah I read through that whole thread, and it is confusing that they market it as a 3 puck. Well that's a bummer, I was really looking forward to that clutch. So if I have to replace the clutch, would I have to replace the lightened flywheel then too?

For anyone that was considering the Exedy Stage 2 clutch, it was the 8 puck style they were having issues with. They have since redisigned it and is now a 3 puck. They did this because of all the issues people were having with the previous 8 puck style. I got confirmation from Abel @ PTUNING.

What happens to all the people with the 8-puck?

Should bring that up in the "Are you driving a stage 2 Exedy clutch" Thread

That I do not know. I guess whoever is having problems could contact Exedy and find out if they get a replacement or at least a nice discount? No clue, but you'd think Exedy would do something for them.
