Rockauto right now shows two replacement hoods, neither is OEM, one steel one aluminum, $70 price difference, a cheap shop will cut that corner.

Side note- You should always have the right to choose your own body shop. Your insurance may prefer one and provide incentives to use one of their own, but you can use any shop.

yep. and a side-side-note. i've never heard good things about any shop that was recommended by insurance companies..

my buddy is going on 2 YEARS of fighting with the crappy shop that 'repaired' his '14 silverado after a tree branch fell on/in it.
