coolant to throttle body hose

Does this work? Has anyone done a before and after comparison?
In this youtube a hose that passes hot coolant through the throttle body is disconnected to reduce air temperature.

I want to be thanked too.

So. Car totaled. When you'll sell parts?

Meanwhile .. given that twins are designed as: 1) cheap car, 2) light car, i highly doubt toyobaru engineers would have put something unnecessary or something, whose pros doesn't outweight cons by a lot, according their expertise. If removing those would be beneficial or didn't compromise something important for eg. longer lasting of engine or to fix some bug/issue that had surfaced according their knowledge even if in long term only, for cheapness and lightness reasons they wouldn't have designed/manufactured those hoses to throttle body. I don't have sufficient info on all the possible pros/cons on them being it here, and when putting points mentioned in linked video against expertise of toyobaru engineers .. i know, whom i'll choose to trust more for safe bet. I myself don't have info based on which i can do willing choice of what can be sacrificed and for what gains. Doing random mods without thorough nfo 'because internet' seems wrong.

Your throttle body is prone to icing and getting stuck in cold weather so the engine circulates the bare minimum amount of coolant to prevent this. It only keeps the throttle body warm, and transfers only tiny amounts of heat.

It’s a waste of time and money removing it and capping the ports, and your cap has a greater risk of causing a coolant leak.

So i guess it's between very slight gains for very slight decrease of intake air temps (unlike with something like intercoolers, purpose-designed for that, throttle body area in contact with air is small/inefficient as heat exchanger/air passes through quickly) to very probable (if not so, why would toyobaru designed that in?) issues in winter, as sucking in air decreases pressure, thus more probable condensate from water vapor in air & mentioned icing (possibly even at in general lower temps, not only below freezing temp). With possible issues like water affecting negatively lubricants @TB, stuck throttle plate and so on. Pulling imaginary numbers out of my ass, is probable less then 0.1 extra hp gain worth loosing safe driveability during winter?

I've done it on 2 cars now the BRZ is one if them. Can't say I've noticed any difference honestly. Can't even tell if intake temps changed at all since the temp is taken before the throttle body. It's to prevent sticking in cold conditions but I've gone with these hoses disconnected in as cold as -5f without issue.

Do it if you want since it's extremely easy but there's no real point.

I can second that^^^^. I did it on my 04 WRX and did not notice anything positive or negative.

In this youtube a hose that passes hot coolant through the throttle body is disconnected to reduce air temperature.

Waste of time, you'd need to have a probe in the intake manifold at some point because all temp data on IATs is received from the MAF upstream. On some turbo kits those two lines are used as a coolant line for it, or it even gets used for a oem type forester XT oil cooler.

If you want some proof:
