Barely Used FBM V160/161 Conversion Kit including, Lightly Used, Modified V161

OK guys/girls, I am selling my entire FBM V161 conversion kit including a lightly used V161, modified for the conversion myself.

This all started with me having my engine built, and wanting to be able to take advantage of the full power the engine could make, so naturally I wanted to upgrade the transmission. I picked up a brand new V161 trans from a guy locally and modified it myself. I purchased the entire conversion kit from LJ at FBM and installed the entire kit myself. Besides a small hiccup with the driveshaft (details below), the kit worked flawlessly. Me, never actually having sat in a *HIGHLY* modified street/race car, had no idea what I was getting myself into. Needless to say, the NVH was too much for me, I could barely keep a conversation in the car. I was looking for a highly modified, high HP *street* car. My inexperience taught me that these two things are for the most part, exclusive from one another. The fact that FBM was dragging with this kit should have been my first clue to that. This is my reason for selling the kit. I ended up throwing the stock trans back in and am much happier.

This is a lot of money including the transmission. I am strongly against shipping the kit, but will, only under special circumstances and if I feel the buyer is fully confident and aware of what they are buying. With that said, I would like anyone interested in the kit to please come and see the kit before purchasing - I am very much against receiving money, shipping the kit out, and calling it a day.

OK, here's what's included:

1. FBM Custom Twin Disc Clutch Including Hydraulic Bearing + Spacers, Restrictor/Dampening Valve and associated hydraulic hose.

2. FBM Conversion Kit - CNC adapters, Billet Shift Bracket, Modified Shifter Linkage, Rear Transmission Mount + TRD mount + OEM mount, Starter adapter, Custom Driveshaft.

3. All required OEM shifter parts for V160.

4. Like new Raceseng shifter knob.

5. All brand new required hardware. I will purchase from McMaster when an agreement with someone has been made to purchase the kit.

6. Lightly used, modified V161. + 2 cans of Toyota V160 gear oil.

FULL DISCLOSURE: As noted above, I had a small hiccup with the driveshaft. There was some confusion on the length it needed to be when it was being fabricated. It ended up being about 1.5" too short. The fix was a bolt-on plate that made up the difference. However, after I had it in the car, I noticed some decent vibration indicating that the plate may have been non-concentric with the driveshaft when mounted, throwing the driveshaft out of balance. Either way, I am including the driveshaft and plate, but am completely removing it from the pricing as if I was not including it. That will make up for the fact that a new driveshaft should be made.

Pricing is as follows:

1. Conversion Kit + Clutch - Purchased at $6390.00 - Selling at $500.00

2. Modified V161 Transmission - Purchased at $7000 - Selling at $5000

3. Miscellaneous items - restrictor valve, hoses, etc. - Purchased at $150.00+ - Selling at $0.00 (Free when included with kit)

4. All OEM Shifter parts - Purchased at $400.00+ - Selling at $0.00 (Free when included with kit)

5. Raceseng Shifter Knob - Purchased at $185.00 - Selling at $0.00 (Free when included with kit)

Total Purchased: $14,125.00+

Total Selling: $6000.00

OK, picture time.

If anyone has any questions, or would like more specific pictures, please ask and I will accommodate when possible. If someone would like to come see the kit, please let me know and we will schedule a time for that.

For anyone worried about the installation of this kit, it is completely possible in a garage. I had a factory of tools available which made it easier, but it is definitely doable. I have saved all my communications with LJ for reference and will be happy to consult anyone who purchases the kit on the installation. I will say though, that as much as a help I may be, LJ at FBM is still the guy.

Again, any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I am interested in selling the kit quick as I am funding an observatory!

Thanks for reading.

-Ernest

Forgot to mention, I am willing to part the transmission from the kit, and vice versa.

Ideally, would continue to sit on this until it's sold. However, my desire for an observatory is eating into my patience haha.

Dropping the price for everything down to $6000. Will part trans from kit, and vice versa, for the right price.

Willing to negotiate to get this stuff sold!
