The original owner painted over the reflective side markers as shown here:



I ordered JDM clear side markers and amber LEDs to replace them and I think it looks much better than the original orange

I used a Phillips head driver through the service hole in the wheel well (once the wheel liner is removed) while pulling on the marker. Once it had moved a little, I placed a small flathead between the marker and the wheel well to disengage the tab completely. I've seen people do it with only a flat head or only a phillips head, but this "two step" approach worked best for me.

There are directions & diagrams in my owner manual. They helped but only a little. I butchered despite it. mine are now held in with silicone rubber. There's a knack to it.
