Temp on my car stabilizes at 90C (194F) according to Torque, so just like Ozzman.

Not sure about thermostat fully opening, but I noticed the electric fan's turned on at around 100C (212F). I had to leave the car idling for a while before that happened tho.

I had a look at a few people's log files and they all seem to be stable around the 90C range.

I just installed a Cusco Oil Cooler (Water cooled), so interested to see if I get any increase in coolant temp, so far no difference.

I haven't done enough testing yet to give you a definitive answer. I have a track day later on this month which will tell me.

For road driving it seems to work good enough, but I am still a bit worried if the stock cooling system will be up to the job.

Guess I should really go for a spirited drive one of these days and find out

Hmmm, I think I have to check how I installed it.

I hit 120C oil temp last night. It did cool very quickly though, just a few seconds off the throttle and the temp went down fast. Maybe I installed it wrong :S

Water temp was around 89C.

Any update on what happened? Did you track your car with it yet?

Thanks

Hey

Sorry, it's been garaged for the past few weeks. Saving money.

Track day this weekend

Seems like I didn't fill the radiator properly as it still had air in it, so previous tests were a bit flawed.

I think it's all sorted now

See picture attached.

Hit 126C after 3 full on laps (first peak).
Then I cooled off the brakes a bit, then went for it again...

The biggest advantage is the rate at which it cools the oil back down when you get off the track, only a few seconds after I got back to the pits, Oil temp was down to around 110, a few secs later and it was at 100.

All in all 11 laps, roughly 1.26 to 1.40 per lap. The track was really harsh on the brakes and I had some cheap pads so that's why I backed off a bit in the middle.

Ambient air temp according to the car was 21C

Mods:
-Cusco Oil Cooler (The new version which also fit's AT's even though my car is MT)
-Motul Hi-Tech 0w20 oil
-Genuine Toyota Blue coolant (From Japan)
-OEM oil filter
Everything else is stock.

I recently swapped my radiator and thermostat. I took a pic of the stock thermostat and it is set to 88degC. Here's the pic:

I am using an OBDII to Bluetooth converter (A Cheap $12 one of eBay).

On my Android phone (there are alternatives for Apple products), I run an application called Torque. In Torque I enabled data logging and specified which items I am interested in logging.

The oil temperature requires a custom PID, but apart from that it's pretty simple.

Then I just copied the file to my PC and created a graph.

If you need more information, this site should have plenty of threads discussing the above.
