VW had had their small rwd and mid engine concepts at all the major car shows over the past like 4-5 years...its only now that the could actualy do anything with it now that they own the majority stake in porsche. but who knows at this point...

Know what isthe best thing about this car IMO? It's bringing together current/former AE86, MR-2, Celica, Impreza, Miata & S2000 owners. The community for this car will be awesome. Apart form being lightweight, adequately powered, well balanced and good looking, this is one of the things that will make this car a legend.
