Question What is this disconnected connector by the ECU?

Just noticed this unplugged 4 pin grey connector at the ECU harness and wondered what it is. Searched but couldn't find discussions about it.

Any interesting JDM functionality that may be enabled from it?

Looked at the electronics diagram but still couldn't pinpoint this one.

That actually controls the seat massagers. It's an option on JDM models, but I've heard it's near impossible to get outside of Japan. Something about export duties, I don't know.

Jokes aside, on the FR-S with an addition of a harness, it is used for the USDM fog light kit.

That looks like it. Thanks. Our fog light switch is on the turn signal arm for the Limited cars.

I wonder up to what point the unused wires actually run to the front of the car to use with a switch for controlling something else. I may need to review that wiring manual again knowing this.

I actually have the FR-S fog light switch + harness and a BRZ Limited so I can try plugging in the switch and seeing what happens - hopefully my car doesn't explode.

Works as an auxiliary fog switch in the limited BRZ, notice how the fog on the stalk is in the off position and the fog light indicator is illuminated in the cluster. When both are on, nothing special happens.
