So I just read the new Super Street...

So today I was lookin though some mags at my local Krogers and I saw Super Street had an atricle about the FT-86. Though we all know they are way off on their fact, they had some "interesting info" on the car.

First thing was that is was targeted for release on Nov. 2011.
-We knew that before and I reconfirmed it by emailing Toyota.

Second was that there is going to be 3 trim levels, with two engine choices (they said a 2.0 and possibly a ej25):
-We can probably rule out the fact that it's an ej, but three trim levels and two engine choices sounds pretty sweet to me!

They also said the top model would be a turbo model:
-YYAAAAAYYYY!!!!!!

They said the middle trim level would start at $28K:
-NNNOOOOOOO!!!!

There was also a small article on the Subaru version, but all it said was "Will it have awd, turbo, etc?" They did say both the Toyota and Subaru version would share the same 2.0L engine.

(Who knows where/who their source is???, so info could be way off base as usual, or their could be a bit of truth)

I just though this was pretty interesting. What do you all think?

magazines now are all behind, websites like autoblog, autocar and worldcarfans are my media right now, up to date and free. problem with that article is the next gen flat 4 is not ej, second they just get their info same as we do on the internet, they don't go to UK, Japan and nur ring to see who's prototype is running they don't have that budget (i know cuz my friend use to be an editor for them back in early 2000).

Because these magazines refuse to adapt to survive. Stupidly so if you ask me.

They've killed a lot of the mags in the whole company. Better ones in my opinion (Turbo and Sport Compact Car...)

DSPORT is the only current tuner mag that I occasionally pick up.

Granted, I think it's a pity though. Will my kids not have the opportunity to page through mags till the pages wear thin and fall apart at the seams?

Man do I miss Sport Compact Car. That was by far my favorite car magazine. I especially liked Dave Coleman's articles.
