Warranty might be worth it but not if the car is all modded and tuned.

Re-wired it and used an extension cable for all my OBD2 needs now not to damage main port.

Does the plastic port itself originally have some play to it? Just noticed today as I was switching between OFT and BT adapter, some wiggling of the port itself. Connection seems okay, will get an OBD extender/splitter.

If you run an OBD2 BT adapter like OBD2MX the male pins are very thick and the factory OBD2 female pins will get damaged after only 10 or so connections. Always use an extension cable for these.
