Hmm I just can't help but think it would look dull compared to the rest of the car instead of pearly

The paint match was pretty good. The raven color I got still has thet pearlescent stuff in it. It's very difficult to tell they are there from a distance and match well up close

One thing I don't get is how dinging doors isn't vandalism.

Say I'm walking around a parking lot with a bat, swinging it in a circle, and it hits a car...I would be arrested for vandalism. But yet some jackass flinging their door open somehow is expected??? Two different tools, same outcome.

Its like whether you shoot someone or stab them, its still assault with a deadly weapon or murder. Yeah...I just took it too far.

It is vandalism to a degree. I'm sure if you caught someone who dinged your car and had evidence of some sort, they would be required to pay for the damages. The likelihood of you catching them is pretty slim, hence these exist. Much easier to polish out a scratch on this than remove a ding and scratch from the door.

it's colour matched to your factory paint - it's not just generic white. they state: "Due to a state of the art computerized system, we are able to exactly match any color in the world - just select your color code from the drop down menu while ordering."

the satin white pearl is listed in the drop down menu.

Good Luck. Make sure to go slowly, use painters masking tape, and have a second person to help you.

Vandalism requires intent. Door dings are caused by negligence.

Thanks to this thread, I ordered mine. Had them on my WRX and they worked well. Much easier to put a dab of touch up paint on the molding that doing PDR.

Plus, call me crazy but I love the lines it adds to the car. Felt the same way about the WRX when people thought I was crazy. Meh.

I will update when I get them in and on!

Here's mine

Very subtle, while allowing for protection. Blends in well with the body lines

Note to everyone: the instructions SUCK. You can sort of line-up the moldings following their measurements, but it's really more of a guesstimate.

I did the install myself, won't need 2 people, though it could help for alignment. Take your time, use painters tape to make your marks, and eye-it several times from distance before you peel off the backing of the adhesive (use strips of tape to hold it in place). Don't pull off all of the red tape, pull little by little as you start with pressure from the door crack, to the front. It's harder to align and move the molding if you peeled it all off and shoved it on as one big piece.

Not sure if anyone else experienced this while using the alcohol pad, but it sure as hell scratched the sh*t out of my paint. Maybe I went a little too hard?

Thanks @shiumai , I feel much safer about my car with the moldings. Also purchased from SportWing, expected 3-4 weeks like everyone else, but I got it in less than a week.

I used the wipe and the promoter. My guess is you had some dirt or something on the car and it got trapped and scratched across everything. Looks good though!

Got mine in today and put them on. Really easy to install. Just take your time when setting up the masking tape for the "template." Love the protection and personally, I like how it looks. Very happy for just over 100 bucks and the paint is dead on!
