I'd sort of love to have a place like that, but no way in hell can I ever afford it..

I live 1.7 miles from a major hospital - and it's all downhill.

Reminds me of the old story about the two guys that were out in the woods when they came upon an angry grizzly bear that charged them. The one old boy took off running, the other old boy said, why are you running, you can't outrun that bear. The other old boy yelled back, I don't need to outrun the bear - I just need to outrun you.

Oh, don't say that. All you have to do is to work hard, invest your money wisely and marry a rich old lady.

On the other, it's a foot in the door at a place that likes to hire from within (the reason I didn't get the other position I interview for in August). And I could probably live with the position for a little while as I wait for a better opening to come up.

I'm going to interview in person and if I get the offer, I'll decide once I see what they're willing to give me.

Lots of things to consider in the next week and a half or so.
Well, now, Cole, I'm all confused as to what career path you're on... but, I do wish you well. -

Congrats!

Nothing worse in a handicap league than an inconsistent bowler that has nights of brilliance. Drives the 200 bowlers nuts when they lose to you.

I should know I am one of those. Haven't bowled in a few years but when I was doing it regularly, my average always started out in the 130s and would slowly creep up over the season to around 150 because I would have nights where I would bowl games close to 200, but I rarely bowled more than 5 points below my handicap.

One night, I actually bowled a perfect game, well, except that the 13 strikes spanned across two games, and were framed with opens on each end. Hey, I say that should still count for something!

The great thing about co-workers, is that I can avoid talking to him since my office is upstairs, but I can still troll him relentlessly by printing and posting mustang memes all around the building.

He ended up not paying it because he fortunately had purchased "life flight" insurance as a rider on his insurance. It's not normally covered.
If you're out in the sticks and have a crash, it could be very important.
Specially hikers, bicycles and motorcycles. It's relatively cheap too. $65 a year for the whole household.
