Thank you for your response. I will try and manually download the manager again. I've tried everything else.

Nice, Vancouver. It's just a 4789 km from where I live, see you next week

I tried your suggestions @steve99.

I deleted OFM from my computer (it's on a Mac but is seems to work fine) Re-installed the program by following the instructions.
I then connected the OFT, let it do its thing. Then I updated the V1 template file.
All seemed to be good.

Sadly, when I connect it to the car I get the same error:

Protocol file corrupted
Use OFM to update.

In a way that might be good news for me right? At least it is on their radar and I presume they are working on a solution. Or am I being too optimistic.

^^ @steve99 yep - I could attempt re-writing the ecu tune back to stock but as you're aware I fear of bricking it so I'm waiting for @Shiv@Openflash for certainty . . . . . still waiting, hopefully a reply soon :/

So everyone knows, I'm getting the same OFTCODE error as above:

Protocol file corrupted
Use OFM to update.
OFTCODE:10002
support.openflashtablet.com

This all came about after an OpenFlashManager software update & Toyotas recall for the valve springs. The dealer did not update the ecu. OFM v140.0, updated to latest template file, also ran "vcredist_x86_update.exe" file, dumped OFM folder on WIN drive & reloaded it fresh, same result/error. One thing I did note (dashcam) was that the dealer unplugged & replugged the OBDII port whilst the car was running which may have spiked the ecu firmware - car runs fine though :|

I can't even re-write my ecu back to stock if I wanted to. The OFT won't let me go into tunes. It gives the error I mentioned in my previous post.

It's been almost two weeks if waiting for me now.

Hi, I've been waiting 70 days, with same issue.
Last reply was "My engineers are working on this." two month ago.
I am still hoping!

Oh wow, I thought I my patience was being tested.
I can't believe there is nothing we can do. Imagine working for a company like that.
My ticket is being processed by Anthony Cardinale.

^^ now that doesn't surprise me - that's why I'm waiting for them to resolve this. I wonder if I could roll this back as I have copies of everything going back to 2014 including OFM software ?

I would wait just a bit more if I were you.
Rumour has it that there might be an update to fix the firmware problems tomorrow morning. @Shiv@Openflash mentioned something on the facebooks.

Good news! Anthony Cardinale from OpenFlash really came through.

I installed Windows 10 in Bootcamp on a spare MacBook Pro so I could run the Openflash manager natively. The tablet needs to reboot, which can be an issue of you run the program in a virtual environment, the USB port looses connection etc..
Anyway, I got the program running and planned a remote session with Anthony. He uses Teamviewer to connect remotely to my 'PC' and can then do his thing with the tablet. We spent almost 2 hours yesterday trying stuff, which I then verified by connecting to the car. But the same error kept on popping up. Anthony decided to consult his engineers and get back to me.
Today did another short remote session and he tweaked the OFT and it was a success this time. It connected without a problem and I could upload the Stage 2+ tune. I did a short test drive runs great now. And no CEL so all is good.
