Buying a used OFT

This is a reminder to those who'll be selling/buying a used OFT.

To the seller:
Make sure you unmarry your device before shipping it. OpenFlash Manager will not allow erasing the data if you dont flash your ECU to stock rom which would make it unusable by the buyer. I guess oft is doing this to prevent users to use it in different cars.
Same principle when you marry someone in real life. You can't marry someone before a divorce is done.

To the buyer:
Make sure that you remind your seller to unmarry the device before shipping. This way you save time and money used during shipping

I still dont know what to do now because I received a married device. And the owner is from Texas. Do you think there is a solution for this? I already emailed shiv and waiting for his reply.

So I called them and had a conversation with robert. They said the only way is to ship it back to the real owner and have it unmarried or bring the hardware to them and pay 250 for a new unit. I would just ship it back and get a brand new one to avoid the same thing from happening.

Did you pay by paypal? Open a dispute and send it back to get unmarried or your money back.
