Bill, Thanks for sharing your project!

I don't know about those door plates though. They sure look pretty, but performance enhancing? Do you really have high hopes for them? I'm already coming up with my excuse that I didn't get FTD because my door plate was loose.

based off the engineering hypothesis..I am hoping they stiffen the chassis a bit more so I don't have to run Strut bars..we'll see.. the review I read said he noticed a difference in turn-in...sooo anything is possible.. .. makes sense.. as for FTD...I am chasing some pretty established folks here...Colin Fiedler, Jason Frank, Bertack... You get the picture..... just want the car so I can get some seat time.....

Bill... (BTW...love your t-shirt)

I'm pretty sure ideal spring rates on an impreza chassis are going to be totally different than this chassis.

agreed... thinking About going square with the rates...it will definitely need some testing...as does anything.... Luckily Vorshlag is getting a BRZ also and should help out alot with the starting rates..

yep...or no swaybars?? depends on how much Droop we will have out of the rear end...that and with the OS GIKEN rear diff will change the characteristics/dynamics too..sooooo much to dooo :/ ....LOL....also don't think it will be eligible for Nats this year... Still no word on classing also..which is disappointing. Right now I am going completely off assumptions.....I am praying I am right..otherwise I have alot of investment...and no return..

In the past, I used a MaxQData system with a track overlay from Track Vision... for now I will be using a nice phone ap called Race Ace...it should serve for my purposes...if it doesn't I will get the Trivinci Race Keeper. with multiple camera inputs. . we'll see

Helmet looks awesome!

This car is definitely going to be a little more difficult to tune suspension-wise than an Impreza. We've got a good start on things but still much more testing to come!

Nice read...

iirc HKS ran 8/6 spring rates & 7/5 spring rates on simple modded GT86 at the Tsukuba

Good info.... will definitely keep that in mind....I most likely will end up with 3 or 4 sets of springs to figure it out...that and corner balance of course.

I do think square rates are a good starting point for most people. I'd shy away from softer in the rear, especially for auto-x. Might make some sense with an aggressive rear diff but I think it's a better idea to go with firmer rates in the rear (and then avoid using a too-large rear swaybar).
