I'm ready to pull the trigger on the intake if it will make my life easier. I'll take any performance gains as well 🤗

It looks nice in the engine bay, but I am skeptical of any real gains that the stock airbox didn't have with a filter and intake tube that eliminated the sound tube. There's no a huge amount of room, but it isn't touching IIRC.

I just installed the Legsport snorkel and felt good things. I'm interested to see how they play together.

I got mine installed last month, so let me share my limited experience with the dual radiator thus far.

Firstly, I say limited, because I'm still braking in the newly built motor, so I can't go past 4500rpm, that's my red line right now, still another 1,800 miles to go....

In any case, I can share my experience before and after the dual radiator during warm up, idle, and cruising, and fitmet.

1) Fitmet is perfect, I have the edelbrock, and the extra long 4-2-1 headers, which are very close to the electric fan with the stock radiator. With the Jackson one, there is absolutely no change, it fits exactly as the OEM does. It's really a brilliantly fitment designed radiator. And the fan is not any closer to the headers than before.

2) The engine oil will warm up significatly faster than before it had this dual radiator installed. with the edelbrock and e85, it would take up to 20 minutes on 60-70 ambient temp to warm up the oil while idling from cold to operating temp. With the dual radiator, it takes 8-10 minutes.

3) While idling, coolant temp and oil temp will mirror each other for the most part. Something never happened before. However, before the radiator was installed, when idling coolant temps would stay much cooler than they do now. Since the oil will bring the coolant temp up, specially at low rates of speed and in traffic. Before, without the dual radiator, coolant temps would hardly ever change, even out in the track, coolant temps would increase at the most by 2-3%. Now with the coolant cooling the oil, coolant temps can and will vary up to 15% from stock coolant temp.
Like I mentioned, this is most noticeable when there is lack of air flow, i.e. while idling or in traffic.

4)When cruising at highway speeds, it's actually the other way. It is notably harder to increase the oil temp, compared to before. The oil temp likes to stay in the lower range of operating temps, which is a good thing! I still have yet to pass beyond 206F, even after driving for over one hour.
However, you must take into account that my redline is currently 4500rpms. Eventhough, you can still go about 100mph and be under 4500rpm on the freeway.

5) I'm still learning the temperature behavior on the car after the jackson radiator was installed, but I wont be able to fully test it until after the brake-in is done, and I put the 22psi pulley on and retune the car.

Nevertheless, I like it very much so far, and the benefits are very real, even with limited testing thus far.

I'll share some photos on a follow up post!

Cheers!

Will this be able to provide enough cooling capacity? I obviously know you have no data and this would be an educated guess. The car will rarely see the track, mostly street hard driving.

So what's the recommended way to do an oil change with this kit and to make sure the oil in the oil cooler is changed too?

Anyone using a lower profile oil cap to get more of an angle for the oil lines? I'm looking at trying the Prova as a possibility as it seems nearly flat.
