Hopefully in 2015 I will be visiting Australia for a bit. I predict my return flight getting cancelled and me having to permanently stay. Lets go drifting.

Good stuff. Was interested to know as I'm looking at doing an LS swap myself. Not 100% just yet but it's definitely something I'm looking at.

Yeah man keen! That would be great. Definitely stay in contact. I'm in the fb drift club so I'll add you.

Yeah I am wishy washy as well. I have a JZ in my S13 so maybe I should keep the variation up and LS the FR-S. Who knows. Its quite a simple swap but much more complicated if you want to keep OEM amenities.

Don't get me wrong, the Type 80 is possibly the best exhaust on the market for our platform, but for me and my ride height, it would of been destroyed if it stayed on my car any longer. And considering it's price, I wasn't too happy about ruining a $1600 exhaust. So.... here's a few pics of my new custom catback and can I say it was love at first sight.

Jordan sold this car and has a different one now. I don't think he's really active on here either now that he's busy managing that Likewise company.

8j +35 is pretty narrow though. Given that those same sizes don't really even clear STI Brembos, I doubt they'd clear 6 pot PMU calipers.

appreciate the reply man! i was hoping the +35 would provide enough clearance for BBKs, didnt realize that i'd still have problems with it

I must admit I have had a few little issues here and there with the DSS axles but nothing too major. The first was leaking grease from the cv boot. This was resolved by replacing the (for the lack of the correct name) pinched tight clamps that came on the axles to adjustable clams that can be adjusted or retightened if need be. That seemed to sort that out.

Next issue we found was a small leak of dif oil on the side the original axle broke. I ordered a new dif seal from Toyota and had my tuner replace the faulty one. That seemed to fix the leak for a week however apon installing my wheels today, the damn leak is back! Fucking cars.

The car goes into the shop tomorrow for a service and I'll advise them that the leak is back.
They can deal with all of that. I hope they've some how fucked up the installation of the new seal because If they haven't, I may have a whole other issue on my hands.

BUT besides all that.... They're great! Haha

Will keep you informed.

Cheers
have you found any solution to the leaking diff seal? thanks
