I think if I start lifting weights now, then by the time I actually have enough funds for it I'll be able lower the supercharger/manifold into place.

Has anyone thought about using an engine hoist to lower it into place? Seems like it would make for a 1-man job.

That would probably work, getting the cables out of the way would be interesting though.

This thing still doesn't run.

Cranking data log for what it's worth.

I've used a ladder and straps to hold a motorcycle up, maybe I can use the same idea with some ratcheting straps...

...and the blower is on the roof of the car.

The MAP sensor is reading 0.44 bar at zero engine RPM. I think MAP should equal atmospheric pressure at zero engine RPM. Maybe a bad MAP sensor or wiring there....?

Yep. I also just ended up with a P0451 code. Maybe some of the wiring is defective.

Do you have a multi-meter you could do some continuity testing on the extensions with? Maybe one of the loom extensions got pinched or kinked along the way.

If your MAP sensor is giving an incorrect reading, can you remove it from the SC, plug it directly into the original harness connector and see if the reading changes?

I do but I don't have anything small enough to wedge into the smaller plugs at the moment.

I guess directly plugging the MAP would make enough sense to try, the reading should be different without starting, right?

Hey it started.

Here's another log. The MAP actually drops down after start, this is interesting.

@Edelbrock LLC, my MAP sensor is reading 0.44 bar with the car in the "On" but not running position. I feel like it should read 0 or maybe closer to 1.01325 bar. On that note, my MAP sensor had a coating of oil all over it, both inside the manifold and on both sides of the gasket, so I know this wasn't something coming out of my intake piping or the Eaton. Cleaned it with MAF cleaner, problem persists.

Can anyone else provide a short data log of "On" but not running so I have something to reference?

Here's a log of my cold start: http://datazap.me/u/bigfatflip/15021...5-36&zoom=0-76

MAP is at 102 kpa at ACC (1.02 bar), so it sounds like you were right and you got a lead

Go over all the instructions completely. Did you try to shortcut anything at all? Are all of your grounds on? Did it require you to relocate a ground and you didn't? Just throwing ideas out there

I think that's a private log, I can't seem to view. Yeah I suspect this sensor is shot. I wish I could plug it into the factory MAP harness to test but it's a completely different connector.

Just a quick rant about Bosch... why can't they publish the sensor specs on their product page, I had to hunt around to random websites (http://www.gasgoo.com/showroom/sinya...s/2069479.html) to find the specs...

Resistance should be 0.1 between the yellow to green, and blue to orange combo's. I measured mine with a cold engine and off (obviously), and it was per spec. Easy to measure, the pins are readily accessible when unplugged, lots of room for any measuring device imaginable.

There is also a voltage curve for the sensor, but that would be more difficult to measure since the pins would not be accessible... voltage curves at the bottom of the PDF: http://www.szjoint.com/upload/down/2...0104328174.pdf
