Oh, sad, but thanks for the update. You meant CSG Mike’s post from 3-6-18 was of a pic from Harrop’s IG from 2015? I guess I missed that. Maybe he was subtly saying that they have been to the lab before with setbacks. Kinda crazy that they were at the lab in 2015, and it is 2018 now with no CARB. Considering they passed Australia’s emissions, the CARB standards must really be a jump in difficulty. Hopefully it won’t be another three years.

I am thinking of getting a Delicious Tune. I am going to run the 85mm pulley or 11-12psi, I think. In my research people are saying I need to upgrade my MAP sensor because DT uses the MAP to tune instead of the MAF, and the stock MAP sensor is apparently rated to 1 bar or 14 psi, but can't really manage that pressure. Is this true?

DT sells a 10 psi MAP sensor and a 4 bar MAP sensor. I got an email back from DT which says I'll need the 4 bar sensor to cover the 85mm pulley, so I will have to buy that too when I get my license and tune. |

The only real differences between the Edelbrock and Harrop kits (that I can see) is the pulley size (effects boost level), the choice and location of the MAP sensor (effects scaling), the surface area of the air filter, and a possible difference in intercooling efficiency (effects?). So, I'm guessing the initial base map only differs in MAP scaling. |

The MAF scaling will be dramatically different.

Engines like flow. As long as the whole system is setup and tuned correctly, more flow will yield more power.
