that was my original plan too, and I ended up getting a second hood to cut into, but the Texas heat this summer made me change my plans and run the vents full time. Might switch to the uncut hood for winter and see if it makes a difference to help the car warm up faster.

ACT SB7-HDSS has been installed, along with the MTEC shift springs and Perrin shifter bushing. Clutch is heavier than I expected, but easy enough to get used to. My commute is 2 miles, so itll take some time to break in. I've just been driving around downtown Dallas to put some more milage on it. The new spring and bushing make shifting feel like bolt action, especially with the FT86 short shifter. I'm falling in love with this car all over again.

The MTEC springs and Perrin bushing were some of the best mods I have done to my car. They really transformed the car when combined with Motul fluid and a transmission mount. It's the little things..

I have the same short shifter with the MTEC springs, the MTEC spring made such a huge difference in the solid feel of the short shifter. Have Gear 300 in the transmission as well.

Now you’re making me want to do the shifter bushing as well!

Putting the Perrin on while the transmission is still in the car is a PITA. I popped the springs and new bushing on right after we lowered the trans out of the car to do the clutch.

Small oil leak on the turbo oil return line, not sure how this happened, but I have now replaced every single fluid line that came with the JDL kit.

I'm also getting a flex fuel kit, anyone have recommendations? I'm deciding between Moto-east and Delicious. I already have injectors and a fuel pump.

Not a ton of updates on the BRZ. I got the Delicious Tuning FF kit, new 550cc injectors, and a Walbro 485 fuel pump, but haven't had a chance to install it and have it retuned. I've been working on the Miata almost every day I've had free.

Miata has tons of new goodies though, Flyin Miata Vmaxx track coils, Advanti Storm S1 wheels with Yokohama AD08R tires, new control arms all around, and a torsen LSD. It sits low enough that I can go under the security gate at my neighborhood. TRack Day Feb8-9 at MSR Cresson.

It was looking like I was gonna sell the BRZ for a while to get the new Supra, but decided against it and am going all in on the BRZ. FF kit/injectors/tune are gonna be done next month and then enjoying boost until something pops

Good move. IMO buying a first-gen car is rarely a good idea anyway.

I’m getting a little crazy with the car now. Bumped it to 12 pounds of boost, flex fuel, new 550cc injectors and a Walbro 485 fuel pump.

After a few hours of tuning and tweaking she was making 380hp on E70. It is terrifyingly fast now.
