This burning smell?

I'm game.. Beverly Hills is only 10 minutes from me in Bloomfield. Ryephile is somewhere in the Birmingham area I think as well.

BTW.. if anyone is doing the clear side marker conversion and need the amber bulbs.. I have a bunch of extras. .they wanted like $4 each at the auto parts stores.. so I got a box of 10 from amazon for $8.

I will never refuse a drink. I will be gone this weekend but name the day/time during the week or next week and I am game.

Check the first page of the thread, I think it has his email. David Fermani I think has done everyone's on the forum and if I remember correctly it was 300 for paint correction and 250 for the opti coating or vice versa

I fully expect to find oil leaking from that gasket this weekend when I check.

Opticoat: $300 and $250 sound about right. Bear in mind that the paint correction is per "level" of paint correction. Some cars have horrible swirly paint that may need 2 levels of correction despite the owner's best efforts to not touch it with anything other than water

Hi. I am a autocross / hpde noob. I plan on doing some this year and I was wondering if standard auto insurance usually covers accidents during these things? I'm asking here in-case there is some Michigan specific laws.

As far as I know, insurance agencies do not cover track eventualities. You will need to get track insurance.

See this thread for more info about insurance on track days http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9523

Lockton seems to have track insurance on a event/event basis.

I put in $30000 as agreed value and got $210 as a per-event cost.

Whew but hey, you pay to play right?

It's expensive but $200 is worth the peace of mind and pushing the car without worrying about balling it up and losing $27 - $28k in a single day!

I went to Kart2Kart for the first time two weeks ago to do the endro race with some coworkers. The Karts are very nice but going there completely killed my aspiring amateur racing dream. I did terrible well felt like it anyways haha I guess thinking I knew how to race from playing gran turismo made me drive worse.

I used to have a bike last year but I sold it to get the BRZ. I miss riding but I dont want to borrow money for a bike again.
I bought my first bike early spring last year, put 1500 miles on it and sold it at the end of the season and it only cost me $300

I'm thinking of selling/trading a evil black rifle for a older bike this season.

Speaking of which any gun enthusiasts here? Almost all the Subaru people I've meet are into guns or get into them after a car/range day.

Speed comes with seat time and confidence... and karts do not = cars, you do have to adjust your inputs.

Steering inputs in a kart can be much more immediate, but with significantly less magnitude than a car.

As far as an aspirations of being an amateur driver, I find a good dose of Alex Lloyd's column on Jalopnik is also a good way to keep those ambitions and daydreams in-check... driving around in parking lots and airport runways is freakin' expensive enough!

Nope. Realistically, for autocross, this should not be an issue.

If you pick up another bike let me know. I am going to crack mine out April 1st and try to start riding it again if the Michigan shit weather will cooperate. Anyone know a good tint place around Beverly Hills area, I am willing to drive a good hour for a real good place that doesn't **** around with shit tint.
