I find them fantastic. But allnmy previous cars had crummy headlights and maybe some foglights.

But they worked when I was driving the car home in the middle of Utah late at night with it being TOTALLY pitch black.

I get flashed all the time if I move the dial to the highest aim. Even at middle I get flashed. Id honestly rather have older technology lights. I hate being blinded by our new superior technology

The car's stance also affects the headlights.

My BRZ lights don't compare to the Xenons on my previous car (BMW 135i).
I find Japanese HIDs have always had very sharp cutoff, compare to German HIDs. The HIDs on your previous Bimmer probably had headlight washers and automatic leveling as well where an arm is attached to the front suspension (requirement to comply with EU regulations).

Actually TRD lets you make the output even worse by selling 6000K HID bulbs. (stock 4300K has the best output and closest to sunlight color temp).

I find the headlights to be pretty good. IDK why people are talking about the low beams being "too low"-- I have to trim mine a fair way down using the knob just to avoid beaming directly into people's rear-view mirrors.

They're not the best lights I've ever seen (the best I've used are the swiveling xenons on my dad's 135, which I totally thought were just a dumb gimmick until I actually used them... boy is it nice to see around your apex at night on a winding road!), but they're definitely a nice, modern setup. I came off a MkIV GTI that had regular halogens and the BRZ lights are a massive improvement. I also really like our red-orange cluster lighting... very easy on the eyes at night.

I drive with the dial up thing on a Zero apparently that's bright as hell and all this time I drove it with a 5 and it didn't really cover anything. Lol I learn something new everyday

The projectors used are the same as an RX350, which is considered one of the best...

Now if you're used to an illegal HID kit in halogen reflectors that glare everywhere and have a huge hotspot then you'll think they suck.

Set your headlight on the lowest setting (5) then just keep driving with your high beams on. works for me

It sucks I cant use my fog lights though.

The best lights ive seen on a car are on the new Lincoln MKZs. I think they are almost 8000ks. Their output is still bright even on rain.

I might upgrade my bulbs to 8000K but the bulbs are like 90 bucks a pop.

These lights aren't bright enough. The lighthouse I used to drive was waaaay better.

Seriously, I am always amazed at how good these headlamps are (all my previous cars were either halogens or older HIDs)

Higher K != more lumens.

One has to wonder if you could correlate some stats directly to head on accidents or related accidents caused by poorly aimed overly powerful lights.

I know I am dreading driving the BRZ up north if I ever do, all those lifted Trucks with their lights aimed super high, running non-stop HID high-beams, or hell ever lightbars..... (I've seen it....) and literally blind every car not lifted as high as them.

Got a lot of those idiots around here. Our lights are powerful enough to cut through their terrible glare, plus our high beams reach high enough to get them back! Maybe they'll get the point...
