Just took a road trip from DC to Chicago, very impressed by the mileage. Did two fill-ups. First one came out to 29mpg (car said 32mpg), with about 70% highway. (303.2 miles). Second tank was all highway, from western PA to IN, and got 36.38mpg (car said 34.6mpg) driving 418.2 miles. Drove 70-75mph nearly all the time. That's better than what my Mazda3 got!

I drive 100% city for my work commute in my mt and I get around 22 mpg. It's just to much shifting to try and get any higher than that.

Curious to see if auto owners are getting the 34+ range.
Yup, I have an AT and just took a 1000 mile trip from NH to MD and back this past weekend, I averaged 36.1 mpg for the trip, and that's with quite a bit of stop and go traffic/getting off the highway and taking back roads in the traffic capital of the country, NJ, lol!

I have a manual BRZ limited. I am approaching 2,000 miles and have been averaging 30.x per tank (combination highway / local suburban driving).

No complaints.

Glad to see these great mpg's. It's a big selling point for me considering my 70-mile drive to work everyday. And then 70 back.. Sucks for now, until I can move. 99% highway though. Figure if I can get around 30 I'd be happy. Over that is just a bonus. I'm usually pretty conservative with my commute to work. Just slap on the cruise control the whole trip.

I'm sure with that much highway, 30+ would be no problem at all. I used to hate my commute to school because it was around 70 miles round trip. However, now that I have graduated, I kinda miss the time that I was able to cruise and listen to some tunes

460.2 Miles and 12.1 gallons today. Being forced to run 45 mph in 6th has only 1 advantage. Unfortunately it also sucked all the fun out of that tank. BTW, that's 38.0 MPG Average over the 460 miles. The computer said 40.4 FWIW...
