Robispec on track testing for BORLA exhaust

Good News ran a 1:48.0xx and the exhaust sounds SEXY at full CHAT
Bad news exhaust a bit too loud for 92DB days
When I put 90 degree elbows to the left would pass sound but the pesky temperary parts just kept blowing off!!!
I guess that proves it is FREE FLOWING!
gotbluemilk dot com FTW BEST track photos in a long time.....
Turn 5 progression photoes so I can see how the suspension is working.
ENTRY

early mid corner

MID corner

late Mid corner

early exit(hands starting to straighten out)

Exit

like that compression travel on a car that has been lowered 3 INCHES!
More coming from the corkscrew...

What kind of tires and modifications to get your 1:48? Did you guys get a chance to get lap times at LS when it was bone stock?

Seems like a lot of guy are running RS3s over NT01s. Any reason?

Any stock lap times at MRLS?

RS3s are the fastest street tire available right now, and have incredible heat capacity (but they do have their downsides too).

NT01's are r-comps. While they're faster, it seems that the track guys are all trying to set "street" tire lap times

Randy Pobst turned a 1:51.3 in a bone-stock BRZ at LS. Not exactly apples-to-apples, but works as a reference point.

RS3 tread wear rating of 140 vs 100 on NT01 doesn't seem like a big difference. I wonder how much better NT01 grip is over RS3. If it's minimal, maybe RS3 is better value....? I do love NT01s, though.

For a higher powered car, the NT01 benefits in both turning and acceleration. For a lower powered car like the FRS/BRZ, we only benefit in turning.

NT-01s are the same compound as Medium compound R888s, (both are made by Toyo) of which I have burned through multiple sets.

Disrinctly faster and more consistent than Pillot Sport Cups (half a second to a second per lap on a short course) which I also ran on the same car. The R888s were an easy second slower than BFG R1s on the same car on the same course. Best reference I can provide, sorry.

Biggest penalty you pay for the NT01s is the NOISE and tire wear plus they're more limited in the number of heat cycles they'll run before they go hard, especially as you go to softer ompounds. Maybe an issue depending on how often you track the car.

Good to know that the RS3s can take some heat!

Also, there appears to be something funny in the centre of Robi's radiator.

Testing some new goodies? Prototype radiator/oil cooler working well?

Do I also see some custom brake ducting?
