About the smoother take off, I'd say that's more tune related rather than coming from the intake. Or just a side effect from making a little more power. |

How long do these filters last and when should they be replaced?

It'll vary, but they should last for years as long as they're oiled enough and with the proper Uni Filter cleaner. If you own the intake for over 10 years, you'll probably have to replace the filter once.

K&N Drop In OFT Stage 2 UEL E85 Invidia N1 CatBack Would I have to adjust the MAF sensor scaling with what is prescribed by Perrin's spreadsheet for the BigMaf? I'm sure it will get me in the ballpark, but I'd like to get max #gainz with the setup I have now since it's probably going to be my last MOD for awhile. |

The spreadsheet is pretty spot on, you could tweak it some if you want it more specific to your car though, especially if you're running E85. #BWWWWAAAAAA!!

Sweet! Just wanted to make sure it wouldn't run lean/rich. I'm still on my first fillup with E85, so this will give me some time to really understand how MAF scaling works. I never ever ever want to revert back to petrol just to tune an intake! I appreciate this Chris.... .... NOW, let's talk about a DISCOUNT!!!

@PERRIN_Chris
I just got my bigmaf in. Am I supposed to put some sort of oil on the filter?

The filter is already oiled, so you're good! You actually may have to wipe off some of the oil if there's an excessive amount on there. Make sure to wipe it off on the filter side where it clamps onto the pipe so it doesn't come off. Also you won't need to make the clamp super tight, just hand tight is good! |

I've never used Romraider, so I'm not sure, if you can't copy and paste it, then just type it in manually.

You can copy and paste from a spreadsheet, like Excel, but you have to put the voltage row on the bottom, and the scaling above that. Otherwise it only pastes in the voltages, twice.

yep the perrin scaling is ok but if you want the maf scaling good enough for +/-5% your going to need to do your own scaling. some cars it will be closer than what your seeing, their is a bit of variation in maf sensor between early and late model cars you can scale maf of E85 but you need a consistent blend of E85 to do it else your trims will be wandering around with changing E% as well as maf scaling and temperature changes so you will just chase your tail.
