Are Avest and GCS the same?
I ask because I'm looking to dress up the interior and I want all the trim to color match. Ive noticed that these products share the same photos so I was curious if they were the same and then I can place orders on best available price.

Probably the same products made in China or Taiwan, rebadged under their own name.

If you had to choose, would you guys go Avest? I can't even find a website for GCS.

I would choose neither as you are buying one piece, and then it won't match with everything else... before you know it, you have spent too much on anodized parts that will burn your hands if you happen to touch it on a hot day. Then after a few years the red will fade to pink. I would just go for cheapest from ft86speedfactory, and just order all the parts in one shot and save on shipping. |

I chose these links as an example, but there are other trim pieces, like the a/c vents, controls, reverse lockout, etc. Ft-86 wins some, Amazon wins some. If we agree that it's basically rebadged parts I can pick and choose my retailer by price, right?

I would tell you to do alcantara/leather wrapped parts instead. Much more classy and much less gaudy. |

Is that something you would have to do yourself? Or are we simply swapping the factory leather? What I want to replace is the silver plastics.

I'd post an image of my interior but I can't be bothered to go through hoops to compress them to fit on this site. I did leave a review on subispeed and they might be there still. I got all the GCS red anodized parts. Some I got from subispeed and one I got from amazon because price. They were all the same color. However, their "drift button" was a different color red. It is a deeper red that closely matches the stitching whereas the other trim bits are slightly pinkish. Personally I like the addition of color and removal of the silver plastic. My car is a 2016 model year so they had already gotten rid of most of it. Now the inside of my car is black and red. The only other "color" I'd consider is carbon, but I've got compliments on the red color

Thanks NRXRaptor, that's the look I'm going for in my interior. Nice to know the trim basically matches in color.
Swarb, yeah swapping to all factory black was an option I considered but I wanted some color. Sadly the price difference is huge, all black would've been so much cheaper. |

Yup, that's the look I'm going for. Nice to see the a/c knobs don't cover the small led that indicates it's current position.I actually have the a/c vents in right now since Amazon came first but the knobs should be in shortly.
