Slightly more advanced:
A line output converter. Because its a full signal you can use it on speakers or a sub with appropriate crossover points. Only problem is the "Sub" volume control on whatever headunit you are running will have no effect. You would have to boost the lower frequencies yourself, which is often possible on line converters (many have built in eq's) or your HU.

:happy0180:
One last question, the amps I have in mind do speaker level inputs, would I be tapping into wires (A) or (B)?

(A)
White = LF Speaker amplified out (black line means -) [PIN 1 and 5]
Grey = RF Speaker amplified out (black line means -) [ PIN 2 and 6]

(B)
Green = Left speaker signal input from HU [PIN 3 and 9]
Purple = Right Speaker signal in from HU [PIN 4 and 10]

Not knowing if (B) is amplified from the HU or line level (probably amplified), I would try (B) first. If it doesn't produce any real volume, you haven't hurt anything. You can always still connect (A) with the gains down and see what happens if (B) isn't loud enough.

You definitely want to tap (B), I use (B) for the speaker level inputs on my amp. (A) is the powered signal going to the door speakers.

(B) is coming from the HU, (A) has been "amped" by the factory trunk amp and no one is really sure if that amp has any crossovers or filters or other sound shaping built in.

Use B as inputs. @f0rge is correct. The white and grey wires will now be powered by your aftermarket Amp as these wires go directly to your door speakers (ie no filter exists between this harness and the door so set your HPF and LPF on your amp as you desire)

Ther I go lying about last questions... Hopefully last question pin 3&4 correspond to white wire on speaker RCA connection or red?

I'll just do a YouTube video tonight showing my setup. I recently moved my wires from the HU to the amp and it works fine. I'm using posi-taps.

Sorry, I was sick and didn't check the forum for a while.
It's already been answered and f0rge explained it well.
I used signal wires. PIN 3, 4, 9, 10.

I'll do better videos after I move. I have garbage lighting in my dinky garage. Where I'm moving I'll have access to a full pneumatic lift and TONS of tools.

The only annoying part is running the positive lead. I'll flop my back seat down, get a shop light, and do a better video when I'm all moved next weekend. I still need to shorten some of the wires and eventually get a custom enclosure for the driver's side corner.

I will be using this write up to install an AMP for my speakers and sub. I'll take some pictures to share.

Perks of the job: My battery is in the back. (May need to upgrade the size haha)
